This guide will provide instructions on performing a simple pin-hole reset of your Shaw Digital Phone Terminal (DPT) should the DPT require a reset to return to an online status and restore a working dial tone. For a brief video tutorial on how to reset your Digital Phone Terminal, please watch the below video.

Quick Solve

  1. Reset the Digital Phone Terminal using the “REBOOT EMTA” or “Reset” pinhole button on the back of the device. (see photos below)
  2. Wait 5-10 minutes for the DPT to come online (Power, DS, US, and Online lights will stop flashing and return to a solid state to indicate an online status)
  3. Check your phones for a functioning dial tone.
