Every wireless device (for example your laptop, mobile phone, wireless network adapter on a desktop, etc.) conforms to a specific wireless standard called a wireless mode. Each wireless mode broadcasts or receives a wireless signal at a certain frequency range and supports a specified maximum bandwidth (download and upload speeds).

If your device's wireless mode is not compatible with the current wireless mode of your Shaw Wireless Modem, your device may not be able to detect or successfully connect to your wireless network.
