Overview

Logging into your wireless modem allows you to configure various settings on your Shaw Wireless Modem, which includes (but is not limited to) changing your wireless network password, your SSID name and the broadcasting channel upon which your Wireless Modem operates.


Details

To change the router settings of your Shaw Wireless Modem (branded Cisco or SMC), log into your router configuration menu by performing the following steps:


  1. Open an Internet browser (e.g. Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer, etc.) and locate the address bar

  2. In the address bar, type in the following: 192.168.0.1 and hit the enter key on your keyboard.

 

 

  1. You will be presented with either an SMC or Cisco log in page, depending on the manufacturer of your Wireless Modem.
  2. Enter the following information:

      1. Username: cusadmin

      2. Password: Locate the sticker on your modem which provides this information. The password may be referred to as the: Passphrase, S/N, Pre-Shared Key or Password (note: the password is case-sensitive, so please enter the password as it is printed exactly on the sticker, including upper-case letters)

  3. Select the Login button

 

Please note: if your Modem is in bridged mode, you will not be able to log into the Wireless Modem settings. If you are unsure whether the Modem is in bridged mode, please contact one of our Shaw technical support representatives to confirm.
