This guide will explain how to import or export your contact list, calendar or account in Webmail. If you need support on importing one of these lists into a third party program such as Outlook, Windows Live or Mac Mail you will need to consult that products documentation for specific instructions on how to do so.

Importing Contacts, Calendars or Accounts

 

To start, visit Shaw Webmail and login using your email and password. You should now see your email inbox.

 

  1. Along the tool bar in the top right corner of the screen, click Preferences

  1. From the menu on the left of the new screen, choose Import/Export
  2. Under the Import banner choose the type of file that you would like to upload, then click Browse to find the file

  1. Once you have selected the file you wish to import, choose your destination folder/data type
  2. Click Import
  3. You will see a pop up window that says Import Succeeded. Click OK
  4. Refresh (F5 on your Keyboard) the webpage

Exporting Contacts, Calendars or Accounts

 

To start, visit Shaw Webmail and login using your email and password. You should now see your email inbox.

 

  1. Along the tool bar in the top right corner of the screen, click Preferences
  2. From the menu on the left of the new screen, choose Import/Export

  1. Under the Export banner select the type of file that you would like to export (Contact, Calendar or Account)
      • Contact: Select the destination program (list below) as well as the source (contacts or emailed contacts). This resource will be exported as .CSV file
      • Calendar: Select the calendar that you would like to export. This resource will be exported as a .ics file
      • Account: Select the data types (Mail, Address Book and Calendar) that you would like to export, then choose a date range. You can also enter a search filter or select "Only export content files, exclude meta data" to further narrow down the items that will be exported. This resource will be exported as a .tgz file
  1. Select Export
  2. Choose the destination folder and press OK or Save to finish exporting. By default, this file will be exported to your Downloads folder

 

 

Please Note: If you are exporting your Calendar, Contact or Account information to a third party program (Windows Live, Outlook, Mac Mail etc...) you will need to consult that products documentation for specific instructions on how to import this data.
