If you've got a new Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone and want to get it set up to connect to your Shaw email account, you can follow the instructions below to get started.


Note: This document was written for the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus running Android version 7.0 and Samsung Experience version 8.1.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Email Settings

Setup ActiveSync on your Android phone to send and receive emails on your Samsung Galaxy S8 or S8+.

  1. Open the Samsung folder and select the Email Icon.
  2. Tap Add New Account
  3. Enter your Shaw email address and password
  4. Tap Manual Setup in the bottom left corner
  5. Select Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync
  6. Enter the following Server Settings:
    Email Address: (Your Shaw Email Address)
    Domain\username: (Your Shaw Email Address)
    Email Password: (Your Shaw Email Password)
    Exchange Server:
    Use secure connection (SSL): Enabled
    Use client certificate: Disabled
  7. Tap Sign In
