Synopsis of Event

As part of our commitment to providing our customers with the best possible service, Shaw will be performing maintenance on our network. During the above maintenance window, some Shaw customers in Sherwood Park may experience a brief interruption of Shaw television services in the early morning as digital TV boxes reset.

Most digital boxes will lose their connection, find a new frequency, and download guide data in about fifteen minutes. For Pace boxes, such as the ones shown below, the process will take approximately two hours.

 

For the twenty year old Motorola DCT2000 digital box, this network upgrade represents the end of the life of the box. Within two weeks the box will lose all guide data. We have attempted to contact the few remaining customers with DCT2000s to exchange for newer digital boxes, but if you have a DCT2000 and have not heard from us, please use the contact information at the end of this page to let us know so that we can ensure that your television service continues without interruption. If you are uncertain as to whether you have a DCT2000, please refer to the image below.
