Motorola Atrix HD PhoneThis guide will explain how to set up your wireless connection (WiFi) and email on your Motorola Atrix HD Android phone using an Exchange server, which is the recommended email setup method for your Shaw email address.

Microsoft Exchange email setup

Microsoft Exchange offers a number of benefits for setting up your email, including advanced handling of email, less confusion for accounts connected to multiple devices, and synchronization of calendars and contacts. Emails sent from this device will appear on Webmail and emails deleted from this device will be deleted from Webmail and the server. To configure your Motorola Atrix HD phone to send and receive emails via an Exchange server:

 

  1. Press the APPS button and select All Apps
  2. Select Messaging
  3. Tap Settings
  4. Tap Manage Accounts and tap Add Account
  5. Select Corporate Sync
  6. Enter the following:
    • Your Shaw email address and password
    • Username: Your Shaw email address without @shaw.ca
    • Domain: shaw.ca
  7. Choose Enter Server

WiFi setup

Follow these instructions to connect to your wireless (WiFi) network on your Motorola Atrix HD phone:

 

  1. Press the Apps button
  2. Select Settings
  3. Slide the WiFi option to the On position
  4. Tap WiFi
  5. Select the network that you would like to connect to
  6. Enter the network password (unless the network is open and does not require a password)
  7. Press Connect

 
If you are connecting to your home Shaw WiFi network and have a Shaw WiFi modem, you can find the network name (SSID) and password located on the white sticker on the back or bottom of your wireless modem.

Did You Know?

 

If you have customized your network name (SSID) and/or password and can no longer remember the login credentials, you will need to restore it to factory settings.
