Learn how to troubleshoot your home WiFi network with BlueCurve Home. With BlueCurve Home, you can quickly reset your Gateway to resolve many connectivity issues, and perform various check-ups to diagnose problems. The app offers suggestions and helpful tips on how you can resolve common issues.

 

 

This article provides details on how to:

 

Restart your Gateway

If you are experiencing home WiFi connectivity issues, you can restart your BlueCurve Gateway from the Overview section of the BlueCurve Home app.

 

  1. Open BlueCurve Home (mobile app or web portal).
  2. Scroll down and select Restart Gateway.

    BlueCurve Home app: Restart Gateway > Connection Trouble

     

  3. A message is shown confirming that you'd like to restart your Gateway.
  4. Select Restart to confirm.
  5. Your Gateway will now restart.

 

Note: This can take up to 10 (ten) minutes. During this time, you won't be able to use your home network, connect to the Internet or stream video on certain TV boxes.

Troubleshoot a device

BlueCurve Home has built in check-ups and troubleshooting tips. If you're having trouble with one of the devices connected to your home network, the app will help you diagnose and resolve the problem.

 

Note: Troubleshoot a Device functionality is unavailable when BlueCurve Pods have been installed on your network. Shaw is looking for future enhancements to enable this.

 

  1. Open BlueCurve Home (mobile app or web portal).
  2. Select Devices.
  3. Select the device you'd like to troubleshoot.

  4. Scroll down and select Troubleshoot a Device.
  5. Select the issue to troubleshoot.

  6. Follow the prompts on screen to diagnose the issue and get troubleshooting tips to resolve it.

 

BlueCurve Home will run several diagnostic checks to find out if connectivity to the device is strong enough to support what you're trying to do (surfing the web, streaming video, gaming, etc.).

 

If the test finds that there may be a problem with the connectivity of the device, you'll be given troubleshooting tips to resolve the problem.
