Shaw customers may notice some changes on their bill as we update our billing process. Please be aware that this change will affect your invoice date (the day your invoice is printed) however, it will not affect your due date (the date by which your bill must be paid).

When will this update be occurring?
November 9th to November 28th, 2014
Who is affected?
This change will affect Shaw customers in the Vancouver area. Customers in Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia (excluding Vancouver), Manitoba and Ontario have already gone through this update.
How will this affect me?
Invoices will now be printed and sent to customers on an earlier date. This update to our billing system will result in changes to the date on which you will receive your Shaw bill, as well as when usage charges (long distance, on demand...) appear on their bill.
Although you will receive your bill earlier, your due date for that bill will not change.
Regular (Preauthorized) Payment Customers:
Invoices for customers on a preauthorized payment plan will be generated 30 days ahead of the due date, instead of 10 days ahead of the due date as was the case prior to this update. This means that any changes on your account that affect your billing, such as changing your monthly services, will take up to a month before they are reflected on your bill, and up to two months to be reflected on your payment withdrawal.
Self Serve Payment Customers:
If you are making your payments to Shaw at one of our retail locations, by mail, over the phone, with My Account or through your financial institution, please allow enough processing time for your payment to be received and processed before your due date. Invoices are now printed on your due date, so payments that are received on or after the due date will not appear until the following month's invoice.
Why is Shaw making this change?
We are in the process of upgrading our internal billing system. In order to do so we are required to make some minor adjustments to your invoice timing. This change will only affect the timing of your invoice date, or, in other words, when you receive your Shaw bill. It will not affect your due date or your monthly recurring charges.
