The Shaw Friends program ended on June 30, 2016


Former Shaw Friends members will continue to have access to the following rewards after June 30, 2016:

  • One free Shaw on Demand Rental. The credit was automatically added to your account when you joined the program.
  • $1 off new release HD movie orders from Shaw On Demand. The discounted price will automatically appear on your invoice.
  • Access to Primetime HD on Demand (Global, CTV and City shows in HD), with Shaw On Demand, 24 hours after they air.
  • One complimentary distinctive ring phone number for each subscribed phone line on your account.


We will continue to focus on benefits that add value to all of our customers.

Please note: Shaw Friends benefits are only available to Shaw customers (i) who signed up for the program prior to February 4, 2016, (ii) who are subscribed to two or more residential services and (iii) whose account is in good standing. Shaw Primetime HD on Demand is not available in all areas. Must have compatible MPEG4 HD equipment. $1 Off New Releases only applies to New Releases with a regular price of $6.99. One movie credit will be automatically credited to customer's account 48 hours after successful enrolment and will expire after 365 days, if not used. Shaw Friends members are eligible for one (1) free distinctive ring for each Shaw Home Phone line subscribed to. If the customer already subscribes to this feature a credit will be applied to the account the month following initial sign up. If the customer subscribes to Home Phone Full he/she will receive a second distinctive ring for free.
