This page provides the information that you will need to change your WiFi password on a Cisco Wireless Modem. To change the password for the wireless network on your Shaw wireless modem, you will need to log into the admin console which will allow you to configure various settings related to your wireless network. Before proceeding, ensure that you have an ethernet cable connecting your modem to your computer/laptop. This article will provide insight into how to change your WiFi password on:

Cisco Wireless Modem

In order to change your WiFi password on your Cisco Modem, you will first need to access the router setting of the modem. Follow these instructions to change your WiFi settings:

 

    1. Navigate to the Cisco Admin Console by visiting 192.168.0.1 in your internet browser

      192.168.0.1 home ip address

       

    2. Log In with the following information:
      • Username: cusadmin (must be lowercase)
      • Password: You can find this password printed on the white sticker on the top or side of your Shaw wireless modem (Cisco), referred to as the S/N (usually a 9-digit number starting with 2xxxxxxxx)
    3. Select the Setup tab at the top of the page
    4. Choose the Quick Setup tab

  1. Enter the desired password into the Pre-Shared Key field. The Pre-Shared Key must be between 8 to 63 characters in length and is case-sensitive (assuming that WPA-Personal/WPA2-Personal is in use for the wireless security mode)

  2. Select Save Settings
