Learn how to use the BlueSky TV Traffic App to access real-time traffic reports, roadway and weather conditions and local traffic alerts from your BlueSky TV guide.

You can easily access the BlueSky TV Traffic App by simply saying "Traffic App" into the Voice Remote.

        
How to use the BlueSky TV Traffic App

Using the BlueSky TV Traffic app you can view local traffic and get alerts to help plan your daily commute or your upcoming road trip. To access your traffic app:

  1. Press the Shaw button on your remote control.
  2. Use the right arrow or left arrow keys to navigate to Apps and press OK.

  3. Use the arrow buttons, highlight Traffic and press OK. You will see a traffic map and latest alerts for your area.

  4. Use the right and left arrows to select an alert. Press OK for more information.

  5. From the Alert screen, using your BlueSky TV remote control, select Last to return to the previous screen for All Alerts. Continue to press Last to get back to the main Traffic Apps menu.
  6. Press Exit to return to standard TV viewing (you can also press the Last button to return to your previous screen).

Add a location to the Traffic App
  1. Press the Shaw button on your remote control.
  2. Use the right arrow or left arrow keys to navigate to Apps and press OK.

  3. Using the arrow buttons, highlight Traffic and press OK.
  4. Use the down arrow button to highlight Add Location. Press OK.

  5. Using the remote control, enter the city name or postal code of the location you want to add. Select Confirm.

  6. The new location is displayed and appears in the list of available locations and routes for traffic information.
  7. Press Exit to return to standard TV viewing, or press Last to return to the Apps

Did You Know

 

You can add up to five locations to the BlueSky TV Traffic App. If you have five locations and wish to change or add a location, you must first remove a location.

Remove a location from the Traffic App

Remove a location by following these steps:

  1. Press the Shaw button on your remote control.
  2. Use the right arrow or left arrow keys to navigate to Apps and press OK.
  3. Using the arrow buttons, highlight Traffic and press OK.
  4. Using the down arrow button, highlight the location you'd like to remove.
  5. Use the right arrow button and select Remove Location.

  6. You will be asked to confirm if you want to delete the location. With the Delete option highlighted, press OK. Select Delete and the location will be removed.

  7. Press Exit to return to the standard TV viewing, or press Last to return to the Apps menu

Did You Know

 

The Traffic app location defaults to the town where you receive your Shaw services and this location cannot be removed from the app.
