BlueSky TV – How to order Shaw On Demand

Learn how to order and watch Shaw On Demand movies and TV programs with BlueSky TV. BlueSky TV builds on the success of today's Shaw On Demand experience by offering customers new features and functionality that they have come to expect from a digital media platform.

How to order Shaw On Demand with BlueSky TV

Follow these steps to enjoy Video On Demand programming from Shaw On Demand.

  1. Press the Shaw button on your remote control.
  2. Use the right arrow or left arrow keys to navigate to On Demand.
  3. Highlight On Demand and press OK.

  4. Locate a program you'd like to watch from the On Demand
    • Use the right or left arrow buttons to browse On Demand options at the top of the screen.
    • Highlight an option and press the OK button on the remote.
    • Use the up and down arrow buttons to browse through the available categories.
    • Use the right or left arrow button to browse through popular On Demand programs. Or highlight View All and press the OK button to view all available programs in that category. Press Last to exit the View All window.

  5. Highlight the program and press the OK button on the remote. If this program is part of a series, highlight Episodes and press OK, then use the up and down arrow buttons to select the desired episode.

  6. Ways to watch for both TV and movies.  Highlight the Watch option and press OK. If you are selecting a movie option, highlight Rent and press OK.

  7. Your program will begin playing. You then have multiple options to use:
    • You can use the Pause/Play and Rewind buttons to stop, restart, or rewind the program.
    • For some programs, you can also use the Fast Forward button to advance through the program.
    • Use the Page Up and Page Down buttons to jump back and forth in 5-minute increments.
  8. When you are finished watching, press the Exit button to exit the program and return to live TV.

Did You Know

 

You can easily access previously watched on demand programs again using the Last button (if the program is among the last nine options viewed on your TV), or by accessing the Saved menu, choosing For You, and accessing the Recently Viewed category. If you have not viewed the entire program, the program can be resumed at the point where you left off.

Trailers

For select titles (mainly new releases), Trailers will be available.

 

Voice Remote Recommendations and Discovery Commands

The BlueSky TV remote features voice commands, offering more ways than ever for you to get recommendations on what to watch.  You can use voice commands to access Shaw On Demand content.  See Voice Control Setup for details.

 

"People Also Watched" Recommendations

Just like on FreeRange TV, you will see other TV shows and moves related to the program that you are currently browsing. This feature cannot be disabled.

 

Rotten Tomatoes and Flixster Ratings

With BlueSky TV you will have access to Rotten Tomatoes ratings and Flixster audience scores throughout the BlueSky TV Guide experience -- including when browsing On Demand content.

Please note, only movies that been rated by Rotten Tomatoes and Flixster will have ratings.

 

Episode Shuffle

Available in the Kids Zone, the episode shuffle feature randomly plays episodes from a single series or artist when two or more episodes or videos are available. A "playlist" is created for continuous playback.

Did You Know

 

"Because You Watched" Recommendations can be turned off by a customer in Settings.
