Anyone know what the difference is between these two tuners is besides the DCX being HD and having an on screen display?
Any info would be appreciated....
Good question! A lot of the differences depend on the model of 3200, since there is an older model that uses the same guide as the 700 (we usually refer to it as the Classic Guide). The newer models use the HD Guide, so the guide will look a bit different and you would also be able to see a larger number of titles when accessing VOD than you would on the 700 or the older 3200s. You likely won't find the older 3200s in any stores, but you could come across one if you're purchasing a used box.
I can't think of anything else major off the top of my head, but you can check out the following Community pages for more info:
Hardware Information - Motorola DCT700
Hardware Information - Motorola DCX3200-M - This is the older model.
Hardware Information - Motorola DCX3200 M-P3 - Newer model
Thanks, I'll check those links out.
The model is a 3200M
In addition to the new HD guide the newer M-P3 model is required to view the full offering of Shomi titles. The M version has a very limited listing of Shomi titles.
