@english_leslie -- while at your mother's residence, telephone Shaw (1-888-472-2222) and get your mother to initially talk to the Shaw Agent, to prove that it is her and her account, and to authorize you to act on her account, and then take the telephone, and make the changes.
Do you have a copy of the Power Of Attorney that has been created? The lawyer who created the P.O.A. document should be able to produce a copy for you. Ask the lawyer if the P.O.A. would expire upon her death -- at that point, you may need her Last Will to act as her Executor/Executrix.
