Don't want to get Shaw to freak out, but I want the best of the best Internet connection and Shaw is only giving me what, 10, maybe 15 mbits uploads right now for my residential service. Telus just finished installing the fiber optics line to my house and the service is available now. My 2-year contract with Shaw ends in 4 months.
@gol1ath our current residential plans offer up to 600 Mbps download and 20 Mpbs upload speeds. I appreciate your interest in symmetrical speeds, I haven't heard of any details on if/when we will offer that. If you are looking for faster speeds, our business services may better fit your needs. You can check our plans here.
I hope so, this 20 up is painfull. only think I can thing of is they have the first version of doscis 3.1 has a bandwith of 1-2gbps to the node. I do remember reading somewhere that full duplex 3.1 is out there but just looking around docsis 4.0 can do 10gbps/10gbps to the node. Maybe if shaw gets 4.0 they can get there speeds in sync
