Hi, in the last 3 weeks, at least 2-3 times a week, my WAN internet cuts out. Logging in to 10.0.0.1 it shows that I still have an active connection to Shaw, but I cannot browse anything from any device. When it is like this, and I look at the modem, it has a steady red light on it. Before 3 weeks ago, the modem had been fairly solid with no issues.

I typically reboot the modem (unplug for 30 seconds and plug back in), and 10 minutes later everything is back to normal.

Any idea on why this is happening? One of my friends thought it might be overheating and the modem may need to be replaced.

I also tried a factory reset on it a few days ago, but the red light problem has happened twice since then too.

Thoughts?

Please contact Shaw ( www.shaw.ca/chat ) or 1-888-472-2222, and get them to trouble-shoot, such as remotely logging-on to your BlueCurve, to observe and interpret the signal-strength reaching it.
