The Shaw Ignite PVR is really slow. I hate it. Wish I could use my old system with built in hard drive.

@grahamk -- how old was the hard drive inside your previous PVR?  Such devices, especially the ones that are active 24/7, so that the "back-15-seconds" button can work, do tend to wear out, over the years, and cause the PVR to "freeze", or for it to stop recording, thus losing all one's stored content. Been there, experienced that.  😞

. They should pull this crap off the market and reimburse people.  I did the exact same thing ,   [ reluctantly], and switched over , and now its just issue after issue, and audio / video out of sync.      Mot to mention the ignite new remotes SUCK

This is bad business and I think I will cancel cable. This is monopoly at its worst.

The previous generation PVR's and their content delivery method will eventually be phased out over time i suppose.
