My device goes into Offline Mode by itself and quit working properly. Why?
If you're noticing frequent Offline messages there could be a signal problem causing that, I'll be sending a direct message to your Community Inbox to run some tests.

If your box is stuck on Offline Mode can you try rebooting it by holding the power button down for 30 seconds? Please let me know if this doesn't resolve it for you.
30 seconds holding down the power button is too much for my fingers with arthritis! I have to reboot by powering down the DCM3200M-P3 box.
But the problem is that the Offline black warning message that appears on screen is getting to show up more frequently. I suspect this has something to do with Shaw TV signals dropping rather than DCX3200M-P3 mulfunction but need Shaw tech info on this.

I've been getting the offline & Online icon several times a day for the last few days.
It just sits there until you click OK.
And then it comes back later.
Again and again and again
a couple offline/online messages yesterday. then a whole bunch of them late this evening (Nov 2).
I see the firmware update is now scheduled for later this week, and sounds like the notification message is being changed to something less obtrusive. that's good to hear.
however, there's absolutely no mention of whether the actual root cause of these messages is either understood or being fixed itself...
