Last night reception was normal. This morning the box wouldn't turn on. I did a reset and now all I get is error "You are not currently subscribed to this channel.....". My other box is just fine. Any suggestions?
Morning kim2190, sorry to hear you're having some trouble with your cable box.
Can you let us know which cable box you've got? If you have a new HD Guide 3510 PVR or new HD Guide 3200 HD Box, then with the box on, hold the power button down for 30 seconds until the box turns off. Wait a couple of minutes then turn it back on.
If this doesn't work for you or if you have one of our older cable boxes (and you've already tried removing the power for 30 seconds and re-seating the coaxial cable), please let us know. We might have to help you fix this from our end.

Ah okay, I assumed you had a Shaw Cable box, but it looks like you're with Shaw Direct.
We do have a Shaw Direct moderator here (sarah_sd), but I don't believe she's in this early so you might want to give Shaw Direct a call or chat with them to get this fixed ASAP. http://www.shawdirect.ca/english/contact-us/ will have the contact information you need.
Sorry that I can't do much more for you from our end kim2190, but I don't have any access to Shaw Direct's systems.
In the Options Installation Menu, what does the signal strength show?
