has any one seen flashing progress 99% on the tv screen
Good morning oktedi,
Do you have the Gateway or an HD Guide PVR (e.g., Motorola DCX3510)? HD Guide PVRs are undergoing an update currently. You may see APP displayed on the front display of your PVR while this is updating, the update should take approximately 15 minutes.
My PVR has been stuck with the message 'Flashing Progress 99%' for over an hour now. What should I do?!
if your PVR has been displaying this for over an hour please powercycle your PVR by disconnecting power for 5-10 seconds. When you reconnect power you may see the update start again, it should take approximately 20 minutes to complete. If it's not working still after this please let us know.
I have a 3510. When I got up at 0600 hrs this morning the front screen was showing FP56. The TV screen said "Flashing Progress 56%". It is now 0805 hrs and it is still 66%. What is going on ? It should take another 8 hours for completion at this rate.
The update should not be taking that long. Can you please powercycle your PVR by disconnecting the power for 10-20 seconds. When you reconnect it please give it another 20 minutes. If it's taking much longer than this can you let me know here?
Hi Jeff. I rebooted and the box went to normal TV right after the boot. It did not continue with the flash update. Now the front display is showing "Cd04" I will wait the 20 minutes to see if that clears. Thanks.
I was able to power cycle my PVR and it only took a few minutes to load back up. Everything is working again.
Thank you for your assistance!
OK So here is my progress now:
0821: Cd04 on box
0825: Flashing restarts FP03 on box
0827: FP66 (where it stalled last time)
0829: Box goes in to auto reboot.
0835: Manually restarted box and everything came up fine. Looks like job is done.
So what are the upgrades that required the flash?
yes that is what mine is saying now.
after reading other comments, I think I will shut off power and reboot?
I see no one is answering us, so what I did was pull the power cord for 20 secs and let it reboot. Then you have to turn the power back on after it shuts down. Good luck.
Hi ronr and rielyn
Sorry for the delayed response here. As already stated, unplugging the HD box for a few moments and plugging it back in should get things back on track.

Thanks Colin for the links. It helps and I am now following on Twitter. So far the box has been good all day.
