Hi I have a shaw cisco modem/wireless router and just recently purchased a amped wireless extender and the connection drops out after about a 1/2 hour. What do i need to adjust on the modem/wireless router?
Do you know if the wireless from the modem itself is what is dropping out or if the extender is dropping the connection? I always recommend changing the wireless channel because that's usually the number one cause of wireless signal drops in my experience (along with physical barriers).
Does it auto-recover on its own? Or after the half hour, it stays dropped?
First thing to check is for an update from Amped, then force your Cisco modem to a specific wireless channel, other than Auto.
What signal strength does the Amped repeater normally show from your Cisco?
