Hmmm, I haven't heard of "connecting" before. You mention that a reset didn't help; did you get a look at what lights are on the phone modem currently? If you have all the main lights, I'd recommend trying a direct connection of handset to modem.

Excellent. I'm sure the tech will get that fixed right up for you. If the representative didn't mention it, I usually recommend that -- in this situation -- if you have a cordless phone system, you plug in the base to the handset and then just relocate the extra handsets to some main locations. That way you can still have phone service where you use it most and you don't have to deal with running back and forth to wherever your phone modem is.
