Frequent Disconnects- Cisco DPC3825-Please help!

First of all I am using a wired connection, NOT wireless

 

I am creating this post as it seems like with many others they are having the same issue. I am getting random disconnection for generally 30 seconds to 1m at a time. It won't always be a hard disconnect that will take down my connection to everything, but when it does take down video games (I play Diablo 3 in my spare time).

 

While these disconnects are only of short periods of time they are making my game play virtually impossible as if I disconnect and die, the character is lost.

 

Here are some of the things I've done so far:

1. Ran Norton

2. Ran Malwarebytes

3. Bought Driver Update -Made sure all drivers were working fine

 

I have no idea what to do, there's no real pattern to this that I've been able to tell. I think I replaced this modem/router a few months ago too.

 

I had a friend of mine who is with a completely different company in Ontario (I'm in Alberta) say that the issue was with his modem/router combo and put it into 'bridge mode' (I don't know what that is) and connected wireless router to it for anyone else who needs the wifi from time to time. Please help
