I'm setting up outlook on my laptop but email won't leave outbox. Can you please help?

Are you getting any errors when trying to send email?
Which version of Outlook do you have?
Which settings did you use?
Disregard the ticket number.
Error message says; Unable to send email, verify email address. (which I've done alread)
Outlook version is Office 2003.Settings; View/Change
Verify emal address makes me think it isn't formatted as an email address, comma instead of a period, space instead of underscore
Try clearing out your Outbox, and send to a different email address
Are you getting an error code from outlook? 0x___
Even try your own shaw.ca address
I tried all you suggest. In fact entered new account even. Question does shaw support SSL? Do those boxes need to be checked off?
We do support SSL, but whether or not it's used depends on which settings you are using. Since you're apparently using Port 587, then yes, SSL should be enabled on the SMTP (outgoing) server. We don't use SSL on the POP (incoming server).
I'm going to agree with kevinds though, it sounds like you're trying to send to an email address that isn't valid. If there is any more detail to that error message like more text or an error number, that would be helpful.
