How do I import sub folders(saved items, deleted items, etc.) from existing outlook express email to a new outlook.com email account?
Though this isn't something Shaw supports, Microsoft does have instructions for this here How to Import and Export Address Books in Outlook Express.
Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.
Thanks for the response, but does that only apply to address books? What about the other sub-folders I mentioned? Is there a way to download those from outlook express and then either import or upload them to the outlook.com account? Someone from Shaw (maybe Debbie?) set me up with an email screen from outlook.com that looks very similar to the outlook express interface. Now I want to 'bring over' all my sub-folders.
Yes, you should be able to export/import emails as well 4dyce . There are some instructions here for that How to export email messages from Windows Mail & Outlook Express into Outlook.
Thanks Heather, I tried a test here at work on a Windows 7 computer. It works. Tonight I'll try it at home going from my old Windows XP computer to my new Windows 8.1 notebook. The adventure continues....
