Cisco router causing DLNA/Xbox Live connectivity issues

Hi there,

I have had the Cisco DPC3825 modem/router for over a year now and I am having some issues using DLNA servers and connecting to Xbox Live. Occasionally, the router will cut off all DLNA access (servers on the network not visible) but still allow wireless internet connectivity. This is only remedied by directly connecting the DLNA server to the client via ethernet or restarting the cisco router. Normally, this would not be an issue if it was intermittent, but it has become very common. Also, the router has a number of settings and features disabled (some of these settingsmay remedy to DLNA issue). After reading some related shaw forum posts, it seems as though these problems with this router are not unusual.

Are there any other models of modem/routers that shaw has to offer? Any other recommendations?
