When I tried to set up with pop.shaw.ca, I get a message indicating that the pop server is not secure and that my information will be at risk? Is the pop server a secure network for e-mail?
That message will show up with certain email programs and is usually indicating that you have setup the account without using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) which is just a type of encryption. A pop3 connection relies on a password for security so we can generally say that the connection is as secure as your password.
I hope that makes sense! Let us know if you have any further questions!
That's an odd error message. What kind of device are you setting your email up on?
Try these server settings instead:
Username: your email address, but don't include "@shaw.ca" on the end
If you are configuring on a mobile device we can set you up on an exchange server instead, if you like.
