Hi my cable modem has limited access (cannot load any web pages) when connected wireless and by Ethernet cable. I've tried resetting the modem and that has not worked. Anyone have any ideas what the problem could be?
Maybe, what lights are on your modem? Solid or Flashing for each light?
Which modem model?
Docsis 3.0 gateway
The power, ds, us and online lights are solid. The link light is flashing
If you're seeing that the Online light is solid this would indicate that the modem is connecting. If you're not having any success using a hardwired connection via Ethernet either, however, I'd like to take a closer look to ensure everything is as it should be with the modem. I'll need to get some of your account details, so to keep that information private I'll be sending a direct message which you can find and reply to securely from your Community Inbox at the top.
I am currently experiencing service issues in Central Alberta, (Blackfalds) which could be related. Started intermittently just after lunch (mountain time) and now has developed into a full service interruption. I too have performed soft and hard resets of the router and even though it shows both upstream and downstream links it still will not resolve DNS. The DS remains solid for the most part, but the US link flashes most of the time. But the DS US links are dynamic in operation as the status can change one minute to the next.
Is there a service issue in Central Alberta at this time?
Hi there Gary,
I was unable to find any area issues that would be impacting internet connections (DNS-related or otherwise) in Blackfalds at this time. I know that I recently set up a service call for you because there were signal related issues to your modem. I'd like to check that again to ensure that was resolved, I'll send further information to your Community Inbox on that.
