I've set up my Shaw email on my IPad and can recieve emails but I can't send them. My password meets the criteria. DoE's anyone else know why it might not be working? Thanks!!
Have you followed all the steps from here? Let me know what your server settings are set as if the steps in that article don't help.

When I go back into settings, mail, and into the Shaw account it doesn't show SMTP...
Did you set up to use POP or Exchange on your iPad? If you have it set up as Exchange, try setting up using the POP configuration and see if you are able to send emails out.
ssgirl that server will only work while on the Shaw network. Becuause this is on a mobile device, iPad, we recommend setting up to use the remote mail servers will allow access to email even off the Shaw network.
How do I turn on my outgoing mail servers? I've set up another company email on my husband's IPad and when you go back to the account it has the SMTP field. When I go into the Shaw email account on my IPad it does not have that field. how do I access it? Thanks!
You need to set up your mail on the iPad as a POP acct. also Click on settings, mail, the mail acct, then on SMTP at the bottom, make sure your SMTP is set to on. If you continue to have issues, call the Shaw internet support line and they will walk you through it.
YYour out going server needs to be shawmail.vc.shawcable.net and ensure your outgoing servers are on.
