Hi, Can I use more than one ethernet cables connecting to my modem? My roommate is often having problems connecting through wifi.
Depends on a couple things, lupitam. If you have one of our modems that has multiple ethernet ports, you can connect up to two devices and get dynamic IP's (we may need to add a code to the account for the second connection), but if you have just a single ethernet port on your modem you'll need to go out and buy a hub or router to allow more wired connections.
I have CISCO DPC3825. Looks like it has 4 ethernet ports.
Would it cost to add the second connection?
If you are using that device for your wireless, you can just connect the device to it and you'll get a connection. It's a modem/router combo, so the routing portion of it allows you to connect multiple devices through the one connection; wired or wireless.
