i tried the link you posted for the latest updates but when I click on it, I get a warning saying I am unauthorized to see it and that I should contact the person who sent me there. Any ideas?
Thanks for the reply, but after 5 reboots the shaw modem finally went 'online' according to the lights

i realized my error after making the post. However, the reason for my post was because I am experiencing an internet outage right now. I seem to have phone and cable services. I've tried a system reboot twice now and no change. Can you help?
Sure, how many lights does your modem currently display?
Which model of modem do you currently have?
Ok that is good, if you have a router check if that is getting an IP address from the Shaw modem.
If the ip address is leased from the shaw modem, and it still doesn't work the issue may lie outside of the Shaw connection.
If you like I can take further look here at my end, to confirm the status on the modem.
