The Guide on my Motorola 700 digital box has no listings and everything is To Be Announced. I can watch all my regular programming. Resets of the box have no effect. Any suggestions?
We went out for a couple of hours with the intention of trying the new cable and different outlet later. When we got back, the Guide was magically working again without any further intervention and in exactly the same configuration as I had when the problem started.

Takes about an hour after a reset for the guide to start to fill in.
If you press Guide, is the time correct?
Wait an hour after your last power cycle, if you still have no details (will take a couple days to get the two weeks of data), reply and I'll give you some advanced places to check.
The Time is always 12:00 M. It has been this way for at least 16 hours. I have done several power cycles with no change.
Ok, if the time is 12:00m it is a signal issue,
Check the cable from the wall to the terminal, both ends tight, anything else along the line (splitter/powerbar in line), if so can it be removed?
Can you try a different cable?
Another cable outlet in your home you might be able to try this terminal on? - Trade places with one that works well
The cable is tight at both ends. The only splitter is one in the wall installed by Shaw several months ago. I will try another cable and another outlet later to see if it makes any difference.
Hey robbob, let us know if that works. If not, we can try a reset from this end which may fix it, or if not then we can send out a service tech to correct the signal to it.
No worries, as I said, it does take a while for the guide to reload, but the time being 12m was a giveaway.
Maybe with you checking the cabling earlier fixed it, but it is working now, so that is nice
