I have not been able to send emails from my PC - outlook. I can only send by my cell phone any kind of messages. What should do to get my Outlook on my PC working again? thx
Are you getting an error message? Have you already powered down your computer completely? We have a document which outlines some troubleshooting steps for this issue here which hopefully helps https://community.shaw.ca/docs/DOC-1055.
Please try these steps out and let us know how that goes.
This is ongoing for 3 months. I have powered computer several times. Any other suggestions?
Have you tried any of the steps outlined in the document I linked to fab? How about any error messages? If you don't require the emails on this computer you could try deleting the account and setting it up from scratch. If that is your next step then you will find this document handy for email setup instructions.
I just reset password. System sent user, token, reset password. I reset the password entered the user name and password and still get:
-Log onto incoming mail server (POP3): Your e-mail server rejected your login. Verify your user name and password for this account in Account Settings. The server responded: -ERR invalid username/password
-Send test e-mail message: Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).
I'm going to restart computer.
I'm connected to internet, receiving email, just not able to send email.
Are you able to log in here Shaw Webmail?
What username do you have entered?
Do not add the @shaw.ca part
Which incoming and outgoing server do you actually have set right now?
I have rebooted my computer, updated Incoming to pop.shaw.ca, out: mail.shaw.ca
I entered name only on user name. no domain
I am at a loss.
Enter your password and 'Check'
The Save at the bottom
-I now suspect then, that remote access isn't enabled
Heyfab. Did kevinds's latest post help? If not, a moderator can private message you and check for you if remote is indeed enabled or not.
