Hi , the past 2 months I have lost signal in some hd channels specifically on Nets HD East Coast from 8:30 to 10:00 pm aprox every day, I have a DSR600 HD Receiver with Xku LNB
Some One has the same problem? Some advice that would be helpfull
What actually happens when you say lost?
Can you check the satellite signal when this is happening?
Sorry to hear about the issues you've been having over the last few months! I'm the resident Shaw Direct moderator and can absolutely help you out.
Do you notice if this happens exclusively with HD channels, or SD as well? Curious why it's happening at a specific time each day. Is there anything that could be causing physical interference with the satellite dish at this time?
What I would recommend is grabbing the signal strength when you lose the channel. You can do this by pressing 'Options, 6, 4, 7' on your Shaw Direct/Star Choice remote. (Ignore the menu prompts and this command will bring you to the System Status window on any receiver). Signal strength is usually located on line C or E.
Let me know the signal strength and ECB number from a channel that has gone out - it would be a great idea to grab signal from a few different channels if you're able to. (Just press 'Exit' on the remote, tune to a different channel that's currently out and head back into 'Options, 6, 4, 7'.)
If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to let me know! I'll wait to hear back on the signal levels.
