I have tried all the instructions and suggestions that are posted but cannot get shaw e-mail to work. I keep getting this message:
"Outgoing mail server (SMTP): Authentication error. 535 #5.7.0
If you can log into Webmail fine, most likely you don't have Enabling Remote Access in Webmailenabled. Click on that link and see if you can get that activated. It should allow you to send on your Galaxy Tab after that, but let me know if you're still seeing that error.
Edit: Also, you might want to look at using the Exchange option, as that way you can sync your email, calendar and contacts.
I have tried all of the above but I still get the same error message.
Tried exchange and it also does not work.
That's odd, you're seeing that error even with the Exchange set up instead of POP?
I will have to give up and use g-mail because I will be leaving on a holiday early AM tomorrow and do not want to take the laptop.
Thanks for trying Matt.
No worries, we can help you get this sorted when you're back if you'd like, just let us know here. You can of course always use Webmail in the meantime as well.
Have a great holiday.
Just to let you know that everything is working fine now. Don't know what I did but it worked!!
Nice Joe, thanks for the update! A shame we don't know what the fix was though lol, but as long as it's working for you, then that's good to hear.
