No satelite today?

On turning on our Shaw satelite receiver today, Sunday DEc 29th,  we were told "Receiver has lost satelite signal. Signal re-acquisition in progress. Please wait." I've seen this occasionally before and it always fixes itself in a minute or two.

 

After waiting about an hour, I pulled the power plug from the satelite receiver, left it for a while, re-plugged it in and turned it on. Same message.

 

It has now been about 5 hours, has the satelite got issues, or, what is happening? I have checked that the dish and all cables seem undisturbed. We are in Osoyoos, BC, Canada BTW.
