Noticed that while it shows in the guide what year a movie was first showed, it's nowhere to be found once recorded? Did I over look something?
I confirmed with mark_vse - that this needs to be sent up to Arris as a feature request for the Gateway.
I will forward this to the appropriate team as a feature request.
This is happening on recordings on your Gateway box or is a different model?
Hi Heather, it is on my Gateway.
The exact same problem is happening with my 3510M.
I'll tag our Gateway guru here mark_vse for this conversation, hopefully he can advise further but it seems to me that the "Original Air Date" field itself is not a part of the information that is available on recordings. I can see the title, description, cast, but it doesn't have a page 3 that lists the original air date like the original listing in the guide does. Perhaps this may actually be a feature request to display that information after a movie/show is recorded...? But I'll let Mark confirm that.
I have noticed this as well. It's not a loss of 'Original Air Date'. It is the year that a movie was released. When you click 'info' on a movie in the guide, it says '2008' (or whatever) before the description of the movie. After it is recorded, that info is nowhere to be found. It is surprising how often someone in the room asks when it was made and you can't just hit 'info' to find out.
Glad to hear - I thought it was just me going crazy, I noticed this a few weeks ago
