I've created hundreds of pages over the decades and wish to know how to post & display custom web pages on Webspace.
Are you using http://shawwebspace.ca to access your Webspace, or do you have an older account with which you're using FTP to access it?
Just started checking out Webspace, but I'll set up ftp now I've found the address and password. I really have zero use for the preformed package and wondering how to replace it.
The template style editing presented at http://shawwebspace.ca is done only by Web Browser through that site. FTP is not an option in that case, but it was with our traditional (legacy) Web Space. If you do happen to have a legacy Web Space account in place, the URL would be http://members.shaw.ca/username rather than http://username.shawwebspace.ca. Since you're new to Web Space I suspect that your account is not legacy, but just wanted to clear that up anyhow.
I have vague memories of an account 5+ years ago but am back again. Is there a way to not use a template at all, i.e., start blank? Could I simply cannabalize the templates and start over, or paste in something else?
If using http://shawwebspace.ca then the answer is no, it is restricted to the templates there. I can take a closer look at your account though just to be sure we're on the same page, and we'll see what can be done. I'll send you a direct message for more information.
