So I hooked up a pvr to my tv upstairs, it got all channels for the first 2 days. The third day I turn it on and every channel is not authorised. What do I do?

I followed the setup, did the activation but it said it was unable to activate hardware. The only thing I can think of is the pvr is an old model. It's the silver motorola pvr
