To sync emails between your iPhone and iPad, you should set up both with Microsoft Exchange Server. This will mean that when an email is deleted or sent from one device, the Shaw email server will sync the other device with the same info. You can also sync your contacts list.

Were you able to get your email setup with the instructions that Lance provided?
Yes I was able to sync the emails. Thanks for the follow-up. I set up the exchange accounts on both devices as instructed. The only issue then was the emails were deleted from the devices when I opened my pc email software (Thunderbird). I solved this by having the emails kept on the server by editing the Thunderbird preferences. Problem solved.
