I just moved the location of my router and when I hook it back up to the Cisco modem I can't get it connect to the internet. Any suggestions?
Thanks for the help...turns out I need to wear my reading glasses. After a call to Shaw for trouble shooting then a call to Apple than back to Shaw I found out that when you are bridged only Port #1 works so the Time Capsule (router) needs to be plugged into Port #1!!
I will admit I do not have any experience with Apple Time Capsules but I would recommend a reset if you haven't tried that Resetting an AirPort Base Station or AirPort Time Capsule FAQ.
Hope that does the trick.
If you have already tried resetting your time-capsule...
Is your Cisco modem in bridge mode? Or router mode? What about your time capsule? Bridged as an access-point or in router mode?
Unplug both, plug the cisco modem in, wait until the lights become solid, then plug the power to the time-capsule in, see if that helps
Ahhh, glasses. My mom is always looking for hers and usually they are on her head Glad you got that sorted out and thank you very much for letting us know what the fix was!
Have a great evening!
Trust me when I tell you that all ports work equally when in bridge mode and router mode...
All I can say is that worked....and that that was the shaw advice.
Thanks cashton, let us know if you come across any further issues.
