Sorry to hear that your PVR reboot in the middle of the game. There are a couple of things that could cause this to happen, the first being a weak signal to the PVR, you may want to check the coaxial cable and make sure it is securely connected. Also, just make sure the power cord is properly inserted into the wall or power bar.
If everything is connected properly and you are still experiencing the issues with the PVR rebooting, please let us know.
Everything working fine after that one reboot, has never happened before unless I made it reboot. I was wondering if Shaw did some kind of update.to the 3510.
No, it definitely was not a firmware update as we haven't released any recently, and I really can't see us pushing a patch in the middle of the Super Bowl. We always inform our customers of any up coming firmware updates through the Community.
I'm curious though, when it rebooted did you happen to see either "CP##" or "FP##" on the front display?
Yes that looks familiar, was only showing that very quickly then onto boot.
i hope you enjoyed the Super Bowl. It was a bit of a one-sided game.
As willie mentioned, it was likely just a signal issue. Your 3510 probably lost contact with us and rebooted to reestablish the connection. If it happens again, I would recommend reconnecting the coaxial cable on both the back of the HD box and the wall outlet.
OK thanks will do that.
