As a member of Shaw Friends, I can rent HD versions of new releases for $5.99 - which is a $1.00 savings... UNLESS that new release is in 3D format in which case I am assessed the full price of $8.99 (ie: I don't get the Shaw Friends discount of $1.00 for the HD-3D rental!). Is this just an oversight on the part of Shaw or do you really want me to rent 3D content from the Sony Entertainment Store or the LG Entertainment Store or etc. instead? Shaw is not the only option if you have a SMART TV or a SMART Blu-Ray player or any other type of non-locked-in-Shaw media player capable of 3D format.
