Have an existing Gateway system set up. On install 2 years ago, technician "prepped" an additional outlet in the bedroom for a portal so that future expansion would not require a technician. Now that I have purchased that additional portal, I'm being told by Shaw support that a technician needs to come out to set it up. Is this accurate? Why do I need a technician just for an additional box? Very frustrated as I already have it all connected, but now have to wait 5 days for a tech to come out.
