PACE pvr keeps shutting itself off and rebooting.
If your Pace PVR is rebooting itself, it might be due to not getting enough electricity. Is it on a power bar? This could be an issue, especially if it's on with energy-hogging devices like large TVs or stereos. The best way to test this is by taking the Pace off the power bar and putting it directly to the wall socket.
Second, is it a Pace with an internal hard drive (Aspen, Tahoe or Whister) or with the external expander (Summit)? If it's a Summit, disconnect the eSata cable connecting the two and then see it still reboots.
Let us know the results and more details!
Hi angellos, are you still having the issue of your Pace rebooting? Have you tried bypassing the power bar or checked for an Expander?
Hey Lance. Plugged it direct, no change. I believe that it is the unit with an internal hard drive. We called yesterday and they figured the hard drive has fried. There is a tech coming over tomorrow to check it out. Thanks for your help.
Alas, it does sometimes happen. Thanks for letting us know!
No problem, thanks again
