Wondering why, when I switch devices, I am always forced to log back into the Shaw Community, even when I set it to remember me? It's really annoying to have to log in all the time between devices.
My best guess is due security settings in the Jive environment. I agree it's annoying to log in every time especially from a mobile device, but it's the nature of the beast.
I'm finding that it is even kicking me out on the same device - however, mostly when I'm at work using IE8, so the issue could be at my end. When at work, I find I have to login to the Shaw Community multiple times per day - in fact it just happened a second ago even though I logged in maybe five minutes ago.
Thanks guys, let me know if this is persisting.
[shaw]ali Just happened to me again when opening the site on my MacBook. This was after being logged in earlier today with no issue on the same device. I did use the site in between on my iPad, so I don't know if that's having any effect. Didn't delete any history or settings.
How long would you say you was the time period between when you first logged in to the website on the MacBook before it logged you off the next time you checked?
We'll do some testing here to see if we can replicate the issue by logging in on different devices in between an active session.
I had been logged in for days. I didn't log in today, just went to the site and it was fine. I used my iPad probably two hours later, then used my MacBook four hours later and it was out.
Thanks for the info. I'll pass that along here to see if this is something we can address currently or potentially in a future upgrade.
I have this too, not every time but often, if I sign in with my phone, I usually have to sign back in on my computer when I get back to it.
I thought it was by design security
Have our team asking to clarify - we'll see what they find out.
Could very well be the security settings, yes.
Just happened again. I went to use it on my iPhone and was already logged out. When I got home to use it on my computer, I was logged out, after using it yesterday.
