I've just started receiving an error message when trying to send email. Error message says "The sender address (my email address is included here) was rejected by the server mail.shaw.ca. I haven't changed any settings. How do I fix?
We would be happy to take a look here. We just need to ask a few more questions to get an idea of what is going on. First are you emailing from an @shaw.ca email address or from another one like @hotmail.com or @gmail.com?
If you are using our email address are you doing this from our website http://webmail.shaw.ca or from an email program like Outlook Express or Windows Live Mail?
One good thing to test is to send a test email to your own email address and remove any signature or any other information. Just make the subject Test and the body of the email only say Test without any pictures or information and see if that works any differently! The emails are being sent from my shaw account and not hotmail, etc.
I tried sending a test message as you suggested but get the same rejection message.
Emails are not sent from Shaw webmail but rather the program on my mac.
If you could try sending an email from yourself to yourself from http://webmail.shaw.ca that would be a great help to narrowing down the issue!

That is great to hear, it means the email itself is working but something in your email program is causing the mix up. Generally the issue will be related to the settings, the following link will go thru a few options to fix this. Email Client: Send/Receive Troubleshooting
If that still is not working you can see the full set up instructions here, you can just check each setting to be sure everything is correct! Just pick your email program off the list and that will take you thru it. Do not actually delete the account in the mail program though, on Macs that will also delete all your saved emails and we do not want to see you lose that. Email Setup Instructions
