I am unable to send messages - I have 20 messages to be sent but keep getting an error message ' an unknown error has occurred' I was able to send a message to Shaw support yesterday but am unable to send a reply to his e-mail #8135-030414

Sorry you're having trouble sending email. Is there any additional information included in the error message you receive, like an error number? Can you tell me how you are sending emails, ie. using a mail program such as Outlook, Windows Mail, etc, or through Webmail?
it just says 'unknown error has occurred'. I was able to send 1 or 2 on the other account but now cannot send on that account either. It is windows mail
Are both accounts for @shaw.ca emails? Can you check that your outgoing email settings matches what is shown here? How to set up email on Windows Mail
the outgoing mail server is shawmail.vc.shawcable.net which it has always been. Has this changed??? and why did some messages send on the other account and then I was unable to send anymore ??
The shawmail.vc.shawcable.net is still supported, but we're actually transitioning over to the new mail.shaw.ca server and recommend configuring using this server. The new server allows for sending remotely.
You also mentioned that you have about 20 unsent mesages in your Outbox or Drafts folder right now, is that correct? Can you try deleting those and send a test email to yourself, and let me know if you receive the test back?
I cannot respond to your e-mail, but I did delete the outgoing messages and sent test messages from both accounts and they were sent

Have you tried what Jeff suggestion of changing the outgoing server yet? Which email address are you unable to reply to?
It seems to be working now, did not change the server but I did delete the outgoing messages and that seemed to fix it. Thanks
