During the past two weeks, I have experienced horrendous routing issues. I am in Saskatoon and I play a game called Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The main server I play in is located in Chicago. I've played on that server for over a year and my ping to it has always been <40ms.
During these past two weeks, my ping has doubled (at the minimum) to this very same server. I did a trace route to the server in Chicago and found the following....
Tracing route to c-74-91-122-215.internap-chicago.nfoservers.com [188.8.131.52]

The above is the worse case scenario I found. Sask to Winnipeg to Calgary to Seattle to Chicago? Seriously? For whatever reason, this occurs during the evening starting around 6PM CST and onwards.
During the day, it's not as bad. But, still ridiculous.
Sask -> EDM -> CGY -> SEA -> CHI
Before having this issue, I would be routed through Winnipeg to Chicago. That's it.
I understand there were some maintenance service that occurred in Saskatoon recently. I've been fairly patient in hoping this would be resolved on it's own. But the amount of hops has rendered any online gaming useless.
Thank you for your time.
